American plum blooms are fragrant, white in early spring. The red to apricot-colored plums ripen over the summer with yellow pulp. The fruits are about 1” in diameter and are edible and often used in jams and jellies. The 3” oblong, serrated leaves turn yellow to orange in the fall and the thorny, steel-gray branches and twigs are quite attractive in the winter. American plum is a very important wildlife plant and is most commonly used in windbreaks and conservation plantings. Bareroot Plants: 2 ft Estimated to be available starting approx. April 1st Code: FKN
