  • American plum blooms are fragrant,  white in early spring. The red to apricot-colored plums ripen over the summer with yellow pulp. The fruits are about 1” in diameter and are edible and often used in jams and jellies.     The Pawpaw tree has the largest edible fruit trees native to North America!  They produce very attractive large fruits that are full of nutrients for wildlife and humans alike. The fruit has a wonderful mango like flavor making it extremely attractive especially for deer. Fruit production begins at an early age, usually just 4-8yrs. Foliage is deer resistant so they typically do not require protection from browse.
