    Hackberry  is a large, fast growing shade tree.  It establishes easily and grows well in a wide range of soils.  This native tree is  tolerant of heat, drought, salt spray, wind, ice, poor soils as well as sites with short-term flooding.

    The bark of hackberry provides year-round interest in landscapes. The fruit is a popular food for birds and small mammalian wildlife. Much of the fruit remains on the tree throughout winter until it is eaten by birds or other wildlife.

  • Siouxland Poplar is an incredibly fast-growing, seedless tree with a rounded head at maturity. Foliage is disease resistant. This tree is extremely hardy and will grow in even the toughest soils with the proper care and planting. With windy conditions, leaves make a whimsical rustling sound.  Prefers moist, well-drained soils to wet soils. Will tolerate occasional flooding and drought along with wet or dry sites.   • We offer 2 varieties of Blueberry that perform well for our region.   We recommend planting a mix of 2 or more different types for cross pollination & improved fruit set.  Plants grow best in well drained, acidic soils.  Both are offered as bareroot plants up to 18 inch, well branched.  We recommend using hollytone fertilizer when planting (we offer this product & can reserve at checkout). Elliott blueberries are a late-season variety will give you ½” berries that are firm, easy-to-pick and perfect for fresh eating or cooking. Beautiful light pink flowers each spring.  Incredible fall colors of deep red/purple.  . Blooms late to avoid late spring frosts. Cold-hardy. Ripens in August. Self-pollinating but recommend planting other varieties near by to increase fruit production.  3 gal size. Polaris Blueberry produces deep navy blue fruits with excellent flavor.   Ready in late July, this wonderfully fragrant berry is considered a 'half high bush' and processes traits of larger plants that produce lots of berries and the size and maintenance of smaller bushes.  Plant with at least one other type blueberry to increase fruit production.  3 gal size.   Available starting approx.
