Description

Large native shrub or small tree with attractive multi stemmed trunk.  Stunning fall colors with dramatic, long lasting,  fine yellow flowers in late fall/early winter.

Grows well in many different type soils, including poorly drained soils.  Avoid extremely dry situations.  Grows in sun or shady areas. Flowers are great for pollinators.  Small seeds are favored by birds.  Seeds make popping noise when mature and disperse.  Interesting native plant!

Height at maturity:  12-15 ft

Available in bareroot plants, 2-3 ft tall, branched.  $24 each.  Estimated to be available on/near April 1st.
