This fast growing shade tree is valued for its dark colored wood used for cabinetry, fine quality furniture & more. The large nuts produced by this tree are consumed by wildlife and humans. Caution: Black Walnut produces juglane (from roots and other parts of the tree) that can be harmful to certain plants/trees planted nearby.
